Our Joint Pilgrimage - April 23, 2016
Holy Doors at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross
A wonderful morning of prayer! About 80 people from Our Lady of Grace (Chelsea/Everett) and St Mary of the Assumption (Revere gathered at OLG for a guided meditation and reflective song and then boarded buses to go to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. On the bus, we prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. As a group, we entered the Holy Door singing "The Lord Is Kind and Merciful" In the Cathedral we prayed, sang and reflected on Scripture. There was time for us to take a tour of the Cathedral. While doing so, we had an unexpected visitor -- Cardinal Sean himself! This made a wonderful day even better. Back on the buses and still singing, we came back to OLG to share a meal together.
All in all, a beautiful day praying for, and receiving, God's great mercy!=====================================================================
Deeply committed to Jesus Christ, we endeavor to become a unified community of faith, worship, and service. We strive to be a warm, welcoming and caring parish in which the gifts and talents of all, young and old, are recognized and graciously used to nourish others.
